Manufacture de faiences en porcelaines St Amand, Hamages et Orchies
These pig piggy banks are surprisingly small, 13, 10 and 9,5 cm high. Produced in 1934 and relatively rare and (therefore) expensive. The sack they carry was used for the news paper, or as the French say: pour le journal. The significance with saving is not clear to me. Some mention "the French way of life", a 'baguette' and 'le journal' in the sack.
