A random selection of the Dutch piggy banks in Gert’s collection.

 

The one on the left was specially made for me, a huge piggy bank painted with bricks.

Piggy banks were often used for promotion. F.i. using lamps from Philips (save money), or join a savings bank (Nationaal Spaarfonds). In the ‘30 stickers of famous places (to be) were put on souvenir piggy banks.
